Class of 2014

If you will not be able to complete your Physical Education requirement (including a swim course or electing to test out) by February 4, 2013, you must file a Physical Education Proposal form February 1-28, 2013 showing how and when you will meet the requirement. Plans will only be accepted via the on-line form.

If you do not file a plan by February 28, 2013, you will be charged a $20.00 late fee to your student account.

Once your plan has been reviewed by the Physical Education Office, you will receive e-mail notification that your plan has been approved, rejected,or modified in approximately three weeks. The e-mail notification will include any further steps that are necessary based on the status of your plan.

 

Follow these steps to file a new plan on-line:

  • Click here to access the on-line form and select 'New Plan'.
  • Complete the web form.
  • Print the confirmation page and save for your records.
  • Take necessary action on the plan filed based on e-mail notification from the Physical Education Office.
  • Print confirmation e-mail received from the Physical Education Office.

 
Follow these steps to amend a plan filed in on-line:

  • Click here to access the on-line form and select 'Amend Plan'.
  • Complete the web form.
  • Print the confirmation page and save for your records.
  • Take necessary action on the plan filed based on e-mail notification from the Physical Education Office.
  • Print confirmation e-mail received from the Physical Education Office.

REGISTRATION

The summer physical education schedule is here. The summer session runs from July 1 - Aug 8. Registration opens Monday, May 20 at 8a for undergraduates and Monday, May 27 for graduate students. Registration closes for everyone on Wednesday, June 19 at 1p.

PE Make Up Form

To check your PE history (points), click on "registration" and then on "history."

You can also check your attendance on PE Course Stellar sites.

A Pirate Certificate is now available to students who have passed Archery, Fencing, Pistol, and Sailing.

Students should send an email to mitpe@mit.edu with name and MIT ID number once grades are posted for all four courses. Check PE history at mitpe.com.

SWIM & BOAT TEST
Swim & Boat Tests:

The swim & boat tests are offered every Tues, Wed and Thurs at 8a and 8p at the Z Center Pool.

Bring Student IDs.
